Data sources

The track lines, outlines and track edges on racem8 are made from OpenStreetMap data, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL).

Some tracks are drawn by us; generated track edges are calculated from the OpenStreetMap line. Every map and outline made from OpenStreetMap data carries this credit.

The satellite images behind the maps are © Google. Some views use Esri World Imagery (© Esri, Maxar, Earthstar Geographics).

To find the tracks people drive most, we use Google Maps place data (the number of reviews and the rating). We keep it as a snapshot for at most 30 days and refresh it from Google; only the place ID is kept longer.
